Their son, the composer and producer Yalil Guerra -whom was nominated to the Latin Grammy Awards in 2010- was in charge of the musical production of the album. “It was a real challenge and a labored process that took almost six years to define the sound and repertoire of this record”, said Mr. Guerra whom was the Musical Producer and performed the Cuban Tres and Guitar in the recording.

The repertoire includes famous songs from M. Repilado Muñoz “Compay Segundo”, R. Gómez “Teofilito”, Miguel Matamoros, Atahualpa Yupanqui and many more. “The romantic voices of Rosell y Cary added a different timber and color to this music style, this seasoned duo blended their voices with mastery and love”, quoted Yalil Guerra.

We had the opportunity to have our beloved friend Luis Conte (Meinl artist), a master in Cuban and world percussion whom have had worked with some of the most important artists of the music industry in the United States and the world.

In the Double Bass we had another talented musician, Carlitos del Puerto Jr. (ErnieBall artist), who performed beautifully and soulful all the songs included in this recording.
